How To Use The Law Of Attraction For Beginners
I feel like the Law of Attraction has become a lot more mainstream over the past few years which is really great because I feel like it’s something that everyone can utilize to create a better life for themselves.
I’ve been practicing the Law of Attraction since the documentary The Secret came out and have had a lot of success with it.
When starting something new like the Law of Attraction, it can be a bit tricky to know how everything works until you get used to incorporating it into your daily life, so I thought I’d make a guide for beginners or those who want a quick refresher on how it all works. You can also check out my video about it linked below this post.
What is the Law of Attraction?
The Law of Attraction is essentially a law of the Universe. Like we have the law of gravity (what goes up, must come down) we have the Law of Attraction (like attracts like). So what does that mean for you? It means what you think about, you bring about. If you’re thinking positively about a situation, it’s going to become a positive situation, and vice versa if you think negatively. So if you’re able to approach everything in life positively, it in turn will attract positive experiences for you.
An example I give in the video below is if you want to be a successful student. If you have a big test coming up, you can study hard, but if you show up on test day and think to yourself “omg I’m so dumb. I’m going to bomb this test. I’m going to fail so hard” That can very well become your reality. If you change your mindset to “I’m going to ace this test, I’m so ready for this” Then that’s what will become your reality.
Ask, Believe, Recieve
The Law of Attraction is built up of 3 parts: ask, believe, receive.
First you have to ASK for what you want. Using the example above again, you can ask to be a good student. Send that intention out into the universe.
Then you have to believe it’s true. You study for your tests, you do your homework and you trust and believe that you’re doing it well.
Receive is the last step, and once you’ve been taking inspired action (studying, homework etc.) and believing it’ll bring you the results you wish for, then it becomes your reality as you receive it. You get on the honor roll, you ace the test. This works for absolutely every situation in your life.
Positivity
It’s important when working with the Law of Attraction that you maintain a positive, high vibe. You want to be on the frequency of what you’re asking for. When you’re on the frequency of what you’re asking for, it has to come to you because it’s also on that frequency.
Like attracts like!
It’s important to be positive in this process because even if you’re saying the right things, if you’re not feeling positive on the same frequency, it can’t come to you.
Affirmations
Affirmations are a great way to speed up the law of attraction to raise your vibe. I’ll go more in depth on how to make powerful affirmations in another post but for now, I’ll make this short and to the point.
You want to choose words that will raise your vibration and match what you’re asking for. Again with the student scenario, instead of saying “I’m so dumb” you can choose words like “I am intelligent. I am bright. Math comes easily to me.”
As you’re saying (or writing) these affirmations, it should help you believe more and more, and raise your frequency to help speed along the manifestation process.
Act As If It’s Already Done
Acting as if is very important in the manifestation process. You want to act like what you’ve asked for has already come true. What does it take to be a good student? You have to study, listen in class, do your homework and so on. So make sure you’re doing those things. Put 100% into a project and expect a high mark. Act as if you’re already there.
Let Go
This is another topic I want to write more on later as it can be a bit confusing. Even though you’re thinking of what you want and manifesting, you have to be sure to not obsess over it. If you’re obsessing and wishing so hard all the time for what you want, you’re giving out feelings of lack! Of not having what you want! And that takes you away from the feeling of already having it. So it’s important when you’re in the believing process to let go of the outcome and to just trust and let go.
Gratitude
Having gratitude is the most important part of the Law of Attraction.
You NEED to feel grateful for what you have right now!
I find it helpful at night to list what I’ve been grateful for in that day so I’m showing appreciation for every single day. So I could say something as silly as “I’m so grateful that I got extra caramel on my caramel macchiato today” (Don’t judge me haha).
Literally giving appreciation for the little things. If I’ve had a really crummy day, I might get more generic and say things like “I’m thankful that I have a roof over my head” Just being grateful for what you have is so important and will help bring more into your life.
I really hope these tips were helpful for you! If you have any questions or suggestions for future posts I’d love to see them below. And feel free to watch the video linked below if you’d like to see a video version of this post!
